The turntable in the restored roundhouse. An old mining engine. One of the two entrances into the roundhouse.



Nickle Plate 514, a GP7. A look into the fluetube plate. Notice the larger and smaller holes. The larger holes are for superheating tubes as this was a superheat loco, not a saturated loco. The purpose of smaller drive wheels is more tractive effort for freight service. Large wheels are for passenger service as this increases the speed of the locomotive.
