Redoing my N Scale Layout

This is the layout as it was before refurbishing. The grade transitions weren't smooth at all. The new layout approximately 85% done as far as trackwork goes. The base is now polystyrene insulation foam. Good ole Dow R3 residential stuff. It's about $12 a 4x8 sheet of 3/4" and is really easy to form scenery with.

You can use hot glue guns to put pieces together, and use large rasps to shape the foam. For an N scale layout this small, you can also use them as the support for the track - just don't put too much weight on it. You don't want to compress it. Coming up - the DCC wiring mess.
