just north of Effingham, this Pullman sits, owned by an MRM Volunteer. This local heads north on the CN tracks at the CSX diamond. CN 5856 is in the lead painted for GTW still. The Effingham depot - a shadow of it's former self.



Talk about high speed switch. Check out the linkage. Looking west along the ex-Pennsylvania line that went to CSX as part of the Conrail breakup. This UP train heads north in Effingham with UP 3932, an SD70M, in the lead.



This CSX container train heads west on the CSX line with CSX 7710, a D9-44CW in the lead. This same train took the connection track in St. Elmo and heads south on UP's line through Kinnundy. This UP train heads north into the yard in Salem, just north of the CSX (ex B&O) diamond, with UP 9725, a D9-44CW in the lead. It was quite long and was causing the yardmaster some difficulty.
